Pledge to Support The Thousand For A Thousand Campaign

The time has come for the Puerto Rican Bar Association (PRBA), the oldest ethnic Bar association in New York, to develop a working strategy for obtaining a permanent home for its members. After 50 years of the PRBA representing the Puerto Rican and Latino legal profession, and championing issues of the larger Latino community, we believe that the Puerto Rican legal professional community has developed enough leadership of their own, and enough weight with other financial institutions to implement an aggressive fundraising drive to achieve this objective.

To that extent we have developed the "THOUSAND FOR A THOUSAND Fundraising Campaign" - A blueprint for raising a million dollars for the PRBA. Our goal is to target 1/3 of the Latino lawyers in New York State in order to grow the PRBA into a 1000 paid active member organization and to raise a million dollars from the membership. The key to the success of this fundraising campaign, which will allow the PRBA to open up offices and hire full time staff, depends entirely on the ability of PRBA members to help us raise a million dollars.
